Then Cassie Creswell, the Executive Director of Illinois Families for Public Schools, updated us on the fascinating mayoral election in Chicago where former Chicago public schools CEO and corporate reformer Paul Vallas will be facing off against a former public school teacher and organizer, Brandon Johnson.
