A Conversation with Marianne Pizzitola about the NYC Teacher, City Worker and Retiree Healthcare Debacle

Episode Summary

Daniel interviews Marianne Pizzitola, President of The New York City Organization of Public Service Retirees about the New York City teacher, city worker and retiree healthcare debacle. They will discuss the lawsuit that halted the City’s and Municipal Labor Committee's attempt to auto-enroll city worker retirees on a Medicare Advantage plan. Also, we will speak about the latest push by the City and MLC to amend city admin code 12-126 which currently protects healthcare for all city union workers and retirees.
